Introducing the new DoulaMatch.net

We are about to release a major upgrade in the style and visual appearance of DoulaMatch.net on Friday, February 7th at 9pm, PST.  Preview the new site here.

Since 2008, supporting our work has been voluntary. Going forward with this release, we'll require annual support of our work to keep profiles and availability calendars active on DoulaMatch.net.  That requirement will begin on April 1, 2020.  If your annual support is current, your profile and calendar will remain active. If it's been more than 12 months since you last supported DoulaMatch.net, you'll be required to choose a support level by April 1, 2020 to keep your profile and availability calendar active. Options will be $15 (for those creating new profiles or have been on the site three years or less), $25, and $50 per year, per profile. Doulas choose the level of financial support that matches their use of the site and the value they receive.

Pat and I both thank you for your past and continuing support of our work and your excellent work supporting expecting and new families. With this release we renew our commitment to supporting rather than competing with our certification organizations as well as community, local, and non-profit doula organizations. We also remain committed to enabling the growth of hospital, publicly funded, and agency doula programs who rely on DoulaMatch as a service for managing their doula referrals

Other Changes:

Improved technology for safeguarding your privacy and eliminating all use of services from Google and Facebook. Facebook and Twitter integration has been removed.

Removal of “other training and credentials” such as breastfeeding, massage, childbirth education certifications and other licenses. Unfortunately, inaccuracy in some profiles led to the ability to over-state qualifications. We cannot stand by publishing misrepresentations.

We have changed our payment processing to better protect your personal information. User account logins will all use email addresses rather than usernames.

Removal of the Reports section.  Unfortunately, the numbers were not accurate due to bots and spiders masquerading as legitamate users.

All cases where you are currently embedding a DoulaMatch page on your own website should still work. Please let us know if anything is not working as you expect.

As always, we deliver custom solutions and DoulaMatch enhanced capabilities for groups with special business requirements.
